What are voice-enabled banners?

Voice-enabled banners are simply rich-media banners that have the ability to record, transmit and analyse speech. This additional layer adds many exciting, creative and value-added possibilities for an advertiser’s existing or proposed campaign.

Send and receive SMS directly from a banner

How voice-enabled banners work

We can add the power of voice to any rich-media banner. The following briefly outlines a generic voice-enabled banner campaign.

1) Polite Banner is displayed (lightweight, served as page is loading)

2) Bulk Banner is displayed (containing the main creative that includes videos etc)

3) If no VoiceApps are required, standard Calls to Action (CTA) are displayed

4) If VoiceApps are required, additional CTA’s, including voice are displayed

5) Upon user clicking the ‘Call Now’ CTA they are asked permission to use their microphone

6) If a user gives permission they are then able to make a call or leave and send voice messages

7) If a user rejects permission (or has no microphone) they can be played an optional audio message or be served a standard CTA like visit campaign site, for example.

Split / scalable campaigns

Digital gives advertisers the ability to split a campaign; only serving a small percentage of your banners with the additional VoiceApps technology. Overtime, assuming your call centre or voice mail receivers are able to cope with the increased level of activity, we can scale this percentage up as the campaign progresses.

Oxford University & UK Climate Impacts Programme :: Consultancy, Design and Development

We were required to build an interactive Climate Change application for UKCIP (UK Climate Impacts Programme) via Oxford University. It was built in Flash with a 3D carousel effect and contained 5 separate applications that educated businesses about the impact of Climate change and how to mitigate against it.

Rolling Rebel :: Digital & Print Identity

Commissioned by Peter Ker’s new film location company, Rolling Rebel to create an identity for them. Their new venture is currently working on productions featuring the likes of Julia Roberts and Brad Pitt. Our work involved detailed research of the perceived and desired brand, followed by the creation of a logo suitable style guidelines. We then created a full range of both digital and print-based corporate stationary. We also purchased the domain, www.rollingrebel.com, setup a new webserver featuring a holding page and full email accounts.

Finders Keepers :: Consultancy

Finders Keepers are the leading property rental agency in Oxfordshire and the surrounding counties asked Digital for advice on the new site that they had commissioned to a third party Development Company. We advised them on the best way to implement their requirements (Ajax, Database Conversions etc) and liaised directly with the development company to ascertain the actual workloads, and thus cost effectiveness, of their proposed solution.

StreetShine :: Flash Site

StreetShine is an innovative social enterprise that gives people who have experienced homelessness, suffered disadvantage in the job market and are in the process of rebuilding their lives the chance to earn a regular income by operating a shoeshine service within offices in the City of London. Their clients include KPMG, Bloomberg, Deutsche Bank, Barclays Global Investment and Shell. We built them a simple flash site to help promote their services to banks.
